Star-Studded Cast and Fresh Talent Bring Glamour and Drama to the Dance Floor in This Year’s Thrilling Lineup!

As the anticipation builds for the return of the beloved dance competition, "Strictly Come Dancing," fans are ready to welcome a new batch of celebrity contestants. The show's 2026 season is set to launch on BBC One and iPlayer this September, featuring a refreshed lineup that promises to bring excitement back to the dance floor. This year, the renowned presenter Emma Willis will take the reins alongside professional dancer Johannes Radebe and comedian Josh Widdicombe as the dynamic hosts, ensuring a blend of energy and entertainment throughout the competition. The judging panel remains unchanged, with the familiar faces of Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, and head judge Shirley Ballas set to offer their feedback and scores.

In an interesting twist, the professional dancer lineup has undergone significant changes. Longstanding favorites such as Nadiya Bychkova, Luba Mushtuk, Karen Hauer, Michelle Tsiakkas, and Gorka Márquez will not be returning this season. Additionally, pro dancers Neil Jones and Nancy Xu will participate in the show without partners, adding an unexpected dynamic to the overall experience. The roster may have shifted, but the growth and development of the competition remain at the core of its appeal.

Among the first names to join the 2026 lineup is Lacey Turner, known for her iconic role as Stacey Slater on the long-running BBC soap "EastEnders." Since stepping onto the scene in 2004, Turner has racked up numerous awards, demonstrating her exceptional acting talent. Now at 38, she is ready to swap her scripted lines for dance moves. Expressing her excitement about joining the competition, Lacey stated, "I am so excited to be making my way to the dance floor this year. I am a huge fan and can’t quite believe I will be taking part and not watching at home this year!" Her enthusiasm hints at the joy of diving headfirst into something completely new and the thrill of learning to dance.

Dani Dyer, known for her time on "Love Island," is making a comeback after a short-lived experience on the show last year, cut short by an unfortunate ankle fracture. As the daughter of actor Danny Dyer, she carries an impressive legacy, and now at age 29, she is determined to make her mark this time around. "I just cannot wait to get my dancing shoes back on and hopefully this time around I can actually make it to week one!" she shared, expressing her eagerness to join the competition and her hope for a more substantial journey this season.

Adding a unique flair to the competition is Australian singer and actor Delta Goodrem. Known for her singing prowess, Goodrem represented her country at the Eurovision Song Contest, finishing in a high fourth place, and also made her mark on television through the iconic soap “Neighbours.” With a background in judging talent on "The Voice Australia," she is eager to embrace dance as a new skill. “I’ve been incredibly honoured to perform on many different stages throughout my career... there is however one stage I’ve never stepped onto, and that is the ballroom floor!" Goodrem’s excitement showcases her enthusiasm for broadening her repertoire as she prepares to take on the dance floor.

As the newly announced contestants stir up buzz, there are whispers of other familiar faces possibly joining the dance competition. Speculations are rife about potential participants like "X Factor" contestant Jake Quickenden and Paralympian cyclist Dame Sarah Storey. Such additions would certainly add a diverse mix of personalities and backgrounds to the competition, keeping the audience engaged and bringing fresh stories to the screen. While the confirmed lineup has brought anticipation, rumors and speculation about who else may join continue to heat up the conversation.

As fans eagerly await the September premiere of "Strictly Come Dancing" 2026, the dynamic mix of celebrity contestants fuels excitement and speculation. The refreshed panel of presenters and the new professional dancer lineup, along with familiar judges, promises a season full of surprises, breathtaking performances, and perhaps even unforgettable moments of drama. Whether they are seasoned performers or newcomers stepping into the spotlight for the first time, the celebrity contestants are all set to show off their skills on the dance floor.

In the world of glitz and glamour that is "Strictly Come Dancing," every moment is an opportunity to shine. Fans will soon witness not just dance but the unfolding of personal journeys, growth, and the celebration of talent across the spectrum. As the top celebrities navigate through this thrilling challenge, the 2026 season promises to captivate viewers with a blend of artistry, emotion, and entertainment. As more words surface about potential contestants and developments leading up to the show, the excitement is sure to grow. The ballroom awaits, and so do the countless fans ready to cheer on their favorites as they twirl their way toward glory.
