Celebrity Showdowns and Lavish Renovations Hit the Las Vegas Strip in a Glamorous New Season!

HGTV is ready to turn up the heat in Las Vegas with an exciting new season of its popular home renovation competition, "Rock the Block." Debuting on Monday, April 13, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, this eagerly awaited season promises to deliver high-stakes design showdowns featuring an electrifying lineup of celebrity contestants paired with some of HGTV's favorite stars. With a record-breaking audience of over 16.6 million viewers last season, the show is poised to captivate even more fans with its unique blend of celebrity flair and home design expertise.

Hosted by the charismatic carpenter and design expert Ty Pennington, the new season comprises seven episodes where teams of celebrities and seasoned builders will battle it out for the ultimate prize: a street named in their honor, as well as bragging rights, if they can create the highest appraised property value. Each duo will be given a budget of $275,000 and a mere seven weeks to transform standard homes in a cul-de-sac. With features like private courtyards, RV garages, and multi-generational suites, these competitors will need to channel their creativity and expertise to deliver luxurious Las Vegas-style residences.

The celebrity pairings this season are sure to intrigue fans. Viewers will see the dynamic duo of real estate expert Scott McGillivray and singer Brooke Hogan, who also heads a design firm. They’ll be joined by design pro Taniya Nayak and Drew Lachey, a member of the GRAMMY-nominated band 98 Degrees. Additionally, Mina Starsiak Hawk, known for her renovation prowess on "Good Bones," teams up with Super Bowl champion Vernon Davis, who is making his mark in entertainment. Rounding out the star-studded lineup is former "Survivor" winner Kim Wolfe, who joins her friend Chelsea Meissner, also a "Survivor" alum and reality TV personality. This season’s partnerships aim to bring unique perspectives and styles to the renovation process.

The excitement kicks off with a two-hour premiere, where competitors will set their sights on designing expansive main bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms, and walk-in closets that captivate potential buyers, with a combined area of nearly 1,000 square feet. Contestants will add Vegas-inspired glamour, introducing elements like gold leaf wallpaper, Moroccan tiles, and flashing marquee lights. Expert judges, including television personality and restaurateur Lisa Vanderpump along with her design partner Nick Alain, will evaluate these spaces without knowledge of team assignments, ensuring unbiased feedback on design excellence and creativity.

As the season progresses, celebrity judges will continue to weigh in on each home’s features. Notable guests include two-time "Rock the Block" winner Michel Smith Boyd, who will critique the foyer and great room, and renovation expert Page Turner, who will assess the kitchens and dining areas. Local celebrities, including singer and philanthropist Luann de Lesseps and Super Bowl-winning entrepreneur Danny Amendola, will also lend their expertise. The grand finale will culminate with Drew and Jonathan Scott, the iconic "Property Brothers," who will join Ty on stage to announce the winning team after evaluating the homes’ curbs and overall aesthetic impact.

In addition to the spirit of competition, "Rock the Block" carries a philanthropic mission this season, with a donation made to No Kid Hungry on behalf of the winning team, helping to provide meals for children in need. The show's commitment to social responsibility underscores its dedication not just to entertainment but also to making a positive impact in the community.

Building a community of fans passionate about home design and celebrity culture, HGTV encourages viewers to engage with their content across various digital platforms. The entire series will be available for streaming on HBO Max® and discovery+ the day after each episode airs, allowing fans to revisit their favorite moments and catch up on past seasons.

With its mix of glamour, creativity, and compelling personalities, the new season of "Rock the Block" promises to be an unmissable event for fans of home renovation and celebrity culture alike. As you mark your calendars for the premiere, anticipate a season filled with inspiration, entertainment, and unforgettable transformations. Whether you're rooting for your favorite homes or marveling at celebrity collaborations, this season’s journey through design and renovation is set to be as thrilling as the Las Vegas Strip itself.
